Why is his music not more well-known? Fascinating and sublime. His story--even more so. Writing out Mozart by hand--to teach himself to write music! Speaking of photographs, this one speaks to me even more clearly than does Trakl's. Those eyes. Those piercing, melancholy, deep-liquid eyes.

I am going to listen. And I was thinking just the same thing about the picture. The face - reminds me of what I was trying to say about Tim's two photos I've seen. It's ok to delete this if you want, T.
I don't know that much about this composer, but the music is telling a story, nearly like a narrative--a solemn one.
