This is where my thoughts pool as a reservoir of miscellany and peculiarity. It's actually not my brain that's dripping -- it's my soul that's leaking.

Jáchym Topol
This novella excerpt by Czech writer Jáchym Topol is exceptional prose.
Thanks, Tim. Albatros, in Prague, reissued it last year. It's a bilingual edition, with striking linocut illustrations by artist Michal Cihlář: http://pinterest.com/pin/360006563932762788/. Also, my translation of Jáchym's latest book is coming out next month from Portobello Books in London: http://www.portobellobooks.com/the-devils-workshop. Jáchym himself will be appearing Wed night at the British Library: http://www.bl.uk/whatson/events/event145279.html. Then again, May 25, at the Hay Festival: https://www.hayfestival.com/p-5780-tan-twan-eng-and-jachym-topol-talk-to-jo-glanville.aspx
